After his studies in economics at the University of Cologne, Hansgeorg André worked at one of the big four audit firms in Hamburg, focussing on the audit of banks, real estate firms as well as trade and logistics companies. After his public appointment as Steuerberater (tax advisor) in 1979 and Wirtschaftsprüfer (public auditor) in 1982, he established his own practice in 1983.

 

Hansgeorg André is mainly focussing on auditing and consulting medium-sized firms as well as tax consulting of cross-border transactions of German and foreign companies, especially from French and English speaking countries. He is also specialized in due diligence reviews, company valuations as well as inheritance and succession advisory.

Julius André studied and obtained the degrees of Master and PhD at the School of Business and Economics at Maastricht University/Netherlands with exchanges to HEC Lausanne/Switzerland and the Wharton School - University of Pennsylvania/USA. In parallel to his studies, he worked in the audit firm of Hansgeorg André.

 

After finishing his PhD, Julius André worked for several years in the corporate finance practice of audit firm Warth & Klein Grant Thornton in Dusseldorf, part of the international Grant Thornton network and among the ten largest accounting firms in Germany. Besides annual audits, he engaged in financial modelling and company valuations of national and international clients, frequently at the intersection of IFRS as well as German and US GAAP. He also co-authored a manual on IFRS accounting.  In 2016, Julius André moved to Hamburg to join André & André.

 

Besides his first language German, Julius André is fluent in English, French and Dutch on professional level.
